Havanese and Poodle Dogs Available for Adoption

Available for adoption in St John's, Newfoundland and neighboring areas where our volunteers are located. Snookie’s is a volunteer-run, federally registered not-for-profit rescue. We place dogs locally only—we do not ship, deliver, or place dogs in the U.S.
Meet-and-greets are done in person where the dog is fostered. All adoptions include screening, introductory training, and the use of a 2-leash system with a 5-point harness. GPS trackers will be required for new adoptions starting June 2026. Due to high interest, volunteers may not be able to respond to every inquiry. Milo is an affectionate sweetheart. Lots of love to give and he's an absolute joy to have around.

We are looking to place him in a home of his own where he will have lots of love and attention. His foster parent can brush him, clean his teeth, clothe him and he's just so willing to follow and learn.

Milo does not get along with the existing dog in the home. For this reason, we need to place him in another home. We believe he can live with an older, pack leader type dog and has previously lived in home with other dogs successfully.

This is an active dog with a lot of fun in him. He loves exercise and would do well in an active home. He's got the sweetest and gentlest of eyes

Milo 's Must Haves:

Knowledge/experience with his small dogs
Flexible work schedule.
A vet reference/pet professional reference is required
Adult home (older children 12 and up)
A fully fenced backyard preferred but not a must
