Great Pyrenees Dogs Available for Adoption

Cinnamon is a 2-year-old, 45 lb female Great Pyrenees mix — and truly one of the most effortless dogs you’ll ever meet.

For the first two years of her life, Cinnamon survived as a stray alongside her five siblings until we were able to bring them all to safety. Despite that start, she has transitioned into home life like she was born for it. She has been one of the easiest foster pups I’ve ever had.

Cinnamon is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She absolutely adores people, but she’s so polite about it. When she wants love, she simply walks over and sits quietly beside you or rolls onto her back to show you her belly. She is never jumpy or pushy — just gentle and respectful.

She loves other dogs and thrives in their company. Whether she’s playing or happily doing her own thing nearby, she’s content. The only time she really barks is during play. She’s previously done well with cats, chickens, and goats, making her a wonderful candidate for a multi-animal household.

Cinnamon is fully potty trained and crate trained, though she doesn’t need to be crated because she is completely non-destructive when left out. She’s very food motivated and loves bones and tasty treats — her only “flaw” is that she will help herself if food is left within reach. (Close the pantry and you’re golden!)

She is wonderful with kids and has done great with my own 2-year-old, as well as infants. That said, she does not enjoy being crawled on and will give a growl to communicate when she needs space. Because she communicates clearly, she would do best in a home with children of any age who are taught to respect her boundaries.

Cinnamon is heartworm positive but is already well into her slow-kill heartworm treatment and doing beautifully. We are happy to discuss her treatment plan in detail with approved adopters.

We coordinate everything with our ground transport teams to ensure they arrive to the adopter safely and we keep the adopter in the loop every step of the way. Transport costs are included in the adoption fees. We also have our fosters video chat with potential adopters prior to adoption so that the adopter gets to see the animals and ensure it’s a fit. We allow adoption fees to be paid via goods and services if desired to give our adopters extra security and protection.
