DESCRIPTION

Hi. Yes. It’s me. Lola Rose. 🌸 Please try to stay calm — I know, it’s hard when you’re looking at this level of sweetness. I’ve been described as “very friendly and calm,” which is a polite human way of saying I’m emotionally advanced for my age and socially gifted. I greet everyone like we’re old friends, I enjoy playtime without acting like I just drank six espresso shots, and I’m perfectly content to hang out near my people soaking up affection like the well-balanced little flower I am. I’m friendly with humans, happy around other dogs, and I carry myself with a quiet confidence that says, “Yes, I know I’m adorable, but I don’t need to shout about it.” I’m the kind of girl who will grow into a steady, loyal companion — the one who greets you at the door, settles at your feet, and looks at you like you hung the moon.

I’m an 11-week-old, 14-pound female Great Pyrenees mix, which means two things: I am currently adorable, and I am absolutely going to be a big girl. A big, beautiful, majestic, guardian-breed girl. I didn’t land in rescue because I was naughty — I landed here because nature did what nature does, humans got overwhelmed, and we were running in and out of the road like tiny, fluffy traffic hazards. Volunteers stepped in, scooped us up, and now both of our moms are getting spayed thanks to PPFT, and the three other adults on the property are getting altered too. Responsible rescue work? We love to see it. I am one of fourteen. And before you ask — are we all from one litter? No. We are technically two litters spaced about a week apart. Were we given a detailed spreadsheet outlining who belongs to which biological mother? Also no. If a seven-day age gap is going to send you into a full investigative spiral, I gently encourage you to keep scrolling. We are fluffy, not a forensic case study. Now let’s talk about expectations. Yes, I am cute. Yes, hugging me currently feels like emotional therapy wrapped in fur. With proper training, could I maybe become an actual certified therapy dog someday? Perhaps. I have the calm, friendly temperament for it. But here’s the part where I look you deep in the eyes and say: I am going to grow. I will lose the baby fluff. I will hit an awkward teenage phase where my legs are too long, my ears might look questionable, and I momentarily forget that I know things. I will become large. I will shed. I will bark at things that you absolutely cannot see. I will develop that classic Pyrenees “thank you for your suggestion, I’ll consider it” personality. And when that happens, I need you to still love me. We are not in this for the puppy fluff. We are in this for life. Kay?

How do I get along with other dogs? Oh, I’m so glad you asked. I am extremely eager to greet every dog like I’ve just discovered a long-lost sibling at a family reunion. I run with them while they play, I follow their lead, and I fully participate in group zoomies like a socially well-adjusted citizen. I’m not out here starting drama or trying to run the HOA. I just want to join the fun and be included. If there’s a pack activity happening, I assume I’m invited. How am I with cats? Ah yes. The tiny overlord with toe beans. I have not yet been formally introduced to a cat. Would I try to befriend them? Probably. That’s kind of my brand. Would I assume they want to play? Also probably. Would they look at me like I’m an uncultured swamp beast? Highly likely. Have I been around children? However, I am described as calm, friendly, and generally pleasant to be around — which feels like a strong resume for future kid interactions. That said, I am still a puppy. I have paws. I have enthusiasm. I may occasionally forget exactly where my feet are located. So if you have children, they should be the kind who understand that I am not a jungle gym, a horse, or a tug toy with ears.

Energy Level: 7. Let me translate. I am not a couch potato. I am also not auditioning for an extreme sports documentary. I enjoy running with my dog friends. I enjoy playing. I enjoy investigating Important Yard Matters. But I also very much enjoy flopping dramatically onto the floor after said activities like I have just completed a marathon. Seven means I need engagement. I need playtime. I need guidance. So if your lifestyle is “we occasionally move from the couch to the fridge,” I may gently suggest a lower number. But if you’re active-ish, enjoy playtime, and understand that big fluffy guardians don’t raise themselves? Then, I am the boy. Adventure-seeker or homebody? I deeply value my home. The family room? That’s my toy headquarters. The living room? A very efficient runway for high-speed travel between Important Locations. My bedroom? Obviously mine. I have claimed it. I’m excellent in the backyard — I’ll explore, trot around, supervise the perimeter like the future guardian I am — and then I’ll happily follow my person back inside because, shocking news, I actually like my humans. Do I need to summit Mount Everest? No. Do I enjoy a good backyard patrol and indoor zoom-through? Absolutely. So no, I’m not begging for cross-country van life. I’m more of a “secure home base with my people, toys, and a yard to stretch these growing legs” kind of girl. Adventure is great. But home? That’s where my stuff is. Overall temperament? I am what professionals would call “very even-tempered.” What that really means is I’m not out here overreacting to every leaf that falls from a tree. I’m steady. I’m balanced. I’m emotionally regulated. Honestly, I could teach a seminar.

Securely fenced yard or apartment life? Let’s think this through together. I regularly march myself over to the toy pile or my toy boxes (yes, plural — I contain options) and select my entertainment like a tiny, fluffy curator of joy. I also walk the fences and bushes in the yard like I’m conducting routine perimeter checks for the Kingdom of Lola Rose. Could I technically exist somewhere without a fenced yard? Maybe — if you are extremely committed to structured exercise, training, and understanding that I will be a big girl with instincts. But would I thrive best with a secure fenced yard where I can stretch my legs, inspect my bushes, and then trot back inside to follow you around? Absolutely. House manners? Oh, I’m so glad we’re talking about this like responsible adults. You will need to continue potty training. You will need to puppy-proof your home. If you leave your shoes, cords, or “decorative but chewable” objects lying around, that feels like a you decision. I will assume everything at nose level is part of my enrichment program unless told otherwise. You will need to socialize me thoughtfully. Introduce me to the world. Teach me how to be the confident, stable, well-mannered large breed adult I am absolutely capable of becoming. And you will need to train me — kindly, consistently, and with the understanding that Pyrenees mixes are intelligent and occasionally independent thinkers. I bring the temperament. You bring the structure. We build the legend together.

Alright. Deep breath. This is the part where you realize you’ve fallen in love with me. So if you’re ready for a smart, even-tempered Great Pyrenees mix who brings both softness and substance to the table, I’m right here. Lola Rose. Fairy Hollow’s finest. Now for the part where we separate the “awww how cute” crowd from the “I am ready for a large-breed, long-term commitment” crowd.

You will need to fill out the adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app . Yes, the whole thing. No, not just the “I love her” part. An actual, completed application so it can be sent to my foster family for approval. That’s how this works. We are organized. We are responsible. We are not doing driveway hand-offs. And when approved? You will need to come pick me up in Tulsa. I will not be teleporting. I will not be Ubering. I will be waiting like the princess I am.

Until we meet
Lola Rose 🌸
