Meet Reba!

Reba, along with her siblings, started their lives in an all too familar way here in Houston. They were an "unwanted litter" of unaltered dogs on a property. The owner of the property wanted them gone and so their foster mom went and swooped them to safety. These babies were only 8 weeks old and already so neglected. They were anemic and emaciated by fleas and worms. They were so fearful of people because all they had known was to live in a place where they were so unwanted.

Well....not on our watch little babies! Their foster mom has been so loving, nurturing and attentive to them. She immediately gave them baths for the fleas and medicine for the worms. She gave them only good food and loves on them constantly to show them they never have to be fearful of people again. Only the good life for them from here on out.

Based on what was seen at the property, we believe both mom and dad were Pyrs, though unsure if mixed with something else. However, we expect these little ones to follow this breed and be large in size when fully grown. We would love for them to find families where they will thrive - who fully understand this breed. They like to have land to roam and protect (no apartments, please) but also will be able to be inside for loves and cuddles.

Reba and her siblings are currently being fostered in Houston, Texas, but are available for transport to many locations across the country. Her adoption fee of $600 includes the cost of transport.
