Hi, I'm Rutherford! I'm a handsome Great Pyrenees with a gentle soul, a love for the finer things in life, and a serious appreciation for being comfortable.

And by "finer things," I mostly mean beds, couches, and naps.

I'm a low-energy guy who thrives in a calm, quiet home with gentle people. I can be shy and timid when meeting someone new, but once I feel safe, I'm an incredibly sweet, cuddly boy who loves being close to my people.

I LOVE pets, especially tummy rubs. When I see my foster mom coming, I'll even slowly roll my belly toward her to make sure she gets the hint. At night, my foster family pushes two dog beds together, covers them with a blanket, and calls it my Mega Bed. Needless to say, I'm a fan.

I do great with other dogs and cats too. Generally, I don't pay much attention to other animals. Even squirrels and bunnies on walks are no big deal to me.

I'm a sensitive guy who can struggle with anxiety, and daily medication helps me feel more comfortable and secure. I've already made wonderful progress in foster care, and patience, consistency, and a peaceful environment go a long way in helping me feel confident.
