Great Pyrenees and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Breeze! Her story is a heartbreaker! This sweet girl found herself in a rural shelter and it was pretty clear that she hadn't been taken care of in a long time. Breeze wasn't fed well and her skin was so itchy and sore. Breeze came to Augusta Dog Adoptions to get the extra care she needed and now, she's ready to find her furEVER home!

Breeze is a young adult, great pyrenese mix who is guessed to be 1-2 years old. She weighs about 55 pounds so you get all the fluffy, white, goodness of her breed in a cute, more manageable package! Breeze is a shy gal but has quickly learned that humans are good and doggie friends are fun! She will need a family who understands that she didn't grow up in a good place and are willing to further her education.

Breeze's idea of heaven is a home with at least one other playful dog to comfort her and model social behavior for her. She would love the freedom of a fenced in yard but also wants to cuddle up to you at the end of a long day. She wants to be a family member and will not be adopted out as working dog as she has no training to do so. Breeze loves the attention she gets at adoption events and may even be a good fit for caring children.

Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
