DESCRIPTION

Meet Folly!

Folly is a just-under-two-year-old female Great Pyrenees who has a little more pep in her step than the average mountain sentinel — but she’s still very much a Pyr at heart.

She weighs around 60 pounds, making her what we like to call a Pocket Pyr. She has all the fluff, sweetness, and personality of a Great Pyrenees… just in a slightly more manageable size. And somehow, despite being a Pocket Pyr, Folly is extremely tall — the kind of dog that makes people do a double take. She truly turns heads everywhere she goes and effortlessly gathers attention like it’s her full-time job.

Folly is fantastic with other dogs and is truly a dog’s dog. She loves a good romp, some friendly wrestling, and a solid play session in the yard. If there’s another dog around, she’s happy. If there are several dogs, she’s in her element. That said, she isn’t a nonstop energizer bunny — Folly enjoys her playtime, but once she’s had a couple good sessions, she’s perfectly content to lounge around and relax like a proper Pyrenees.

In fact, when Folly sleeps, she doesn’t curl up politely. She sleeps stretched completely out on her side, legs straight, taking up as much space as physically possible. Literally the biggest she can be. It’s very on-brand.

Because she enjoys outdoor time and play, a securely fenced yard is non-negotiable. Folly will do best in a home where she can safely stretch her legs, get her zoomies out, and then settle in for a nap.

Cats are met with mild curiosity and a shrug — she’s interested, but not intense about it.

Folly would do best with kids over 10, mostly because she can be a little enthusiastic during play and doesn’t always realize how tall she is. She’s sweet and gentle by nature, just still young and goofy.

With new people, Folly can be slightly shy at first. She’s not reactive or dramatic — just cautious. Give her a few minutes to observe, and she warms up quickly and is happy to be included. Snacks definitely help speed up the friendship process.

Folly would thrive in a home that appreciates a Pyr who enjoys some activity and play, but also values downtime. She’s affectionate, well-mannered, and has excellent house habits. Overall, she’s a fun, balanced girl who brings just the right amount of personality to keep life entertaining.

If you’re looking for a loving Great Pyrenees who enjoys playtime, loves other dogs, and still knows how to relax — in a conveniently Pocket Pyr (but somehow extremely tall) package — Folly may be your perfect match.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
