ROOSTER IS CURRENTLY FOSTERED NEAR DAVENPORT, IOWA.

Rooster is a Great Pyrenees mix who was rescued from the euthanasia list at a small rural Oklahoma shelter where resources are extremely limited. Now safe in foster care, he’s getting the chance to grow up in a loving environment while he waits for his forever home.

Rooster is a sweet, gentle boy who enjoys playing with his foster brothers and then cuddling up for naps together. He has a calm, affectionate personality and is still discovering new things about the world around him. He’s a good-natured puppy who takes things at his own pace and continues building confidence every day.

Rooster is potty trained, crate trained, and does well on leash. He gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a great fit for many types of families. He’s still learning typical puppy skills, including figuring out how to jump up onto
things, which just adds to his charm as he continues to grow and gain confidence.

All puppies and young dogs have typical energy levels and require adopters willing to continue training and provide structure. Even when potty training has started, accidents can happen in a new home while routines adjust. Continued socialization and training help them grow into confident adult dogs.

Rooster is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, on monthly preventatives, dewormed, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400.

If you’re interested in giving Rooster his forever home, please complete our adoption application linked below. Thank you for considering this sweet boy!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED

The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
