If you’ve ever dreamed of adopting a literal cloud with legs… congratulations. You just found him. His name is Prince Olaf the impossibly fluffy, outrageously handsome, suspiciously perfect Great Pyrenees that feels less like a rescue dog and more like a reward from the universe. He’s the kind of dog that makes you squint at him and say, “There’s no way this is real.” Too fluffy. Too gentle. Too easy. Too perfect. And yet… here he is. Olaf is what happens when you take majestic mountain guardian energy, mix it with teddy bear softness, sprinkle in saint-level patience, and then somehow make it low-to-medium energy and completely house trained. It shouldn’t exist. And yet, it does. Honestly? Prince Olaf isn’t just perfection. He’s the overachiever of perfection.
Watch his video and you’ll see exactly what we are talking about: https://youtu.be/WDJ2mGTXnW8?si=Om5sErqXKyN_1p_7
Prince Olaf is believed to be a Great Pyrenees mix approximately 5 years old and currently weighs a whopping 73 lbs. We know, he looks so much bigger than that, it’s just all that extra fluff of greatness. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Just based off looks alone, it’s pretty safe to say that he has some Great Pyrenees mixed in there somewhere.
He’s not just a good boy. He’s a “did we accidentally design the ideal family dog?” kind of boy. Fluffy enough to double as a pillow. Calm enough to handle toddlers. Sweet enough to melt you on contact. Easy enough to make you wonder why you ever thought dog ownership was hard. Olaf isn’t chaotic puppy energy. He’s that perfectly balanced, low-to-medium energy, go-with-the-flow gentleman who knows when it’s time for a stroll, when it’s time to relax outside, and when it’s time to melt into the couch beside you. He has wonderful house manners, is respectful in the home, walks easy on a leash, and carries himself like the polite gentleman he is. No nonsense. No drama. Just solid, dependable good boy energy.
He is incredibly tolerant and patient. the kind of dog who handles life with quiet confidence. In fact, he’s so easygoing he’ll even let you use him as a pillow. Doesn't he already sound amazing?! Well wait, there's more! Olaf loves treats, is super smart already knowing a few basic commands such as sit, and is crate and potty trained as well. He’ll be a great companion for someone who enjoys going on adventures and for someone looking for a snuggly pal at the end of the day. He truly is the perfect mixture of both. Olaf loves to be outside and he would absolutely love it for his forever home to have a nice big backyard for him to roam, stretch his legs, and relax in the sun.
Olaf is very dog friendly and has done great with all the dogs we have introduced him to. His favorite playmates are the dogs that have a happy go-lucky personality that like to play but also know when it's time for a play break. He also appreciates being with pups that are not too pushy with their play either. Olaf enjoys romping around the yard with other dogs, playing a game of "tag your it," and occasionally enjoys relaxed, respectful play with the right dog. If you don't have other dogs, Olaf is totally fine with that. He is always happiest when he is surrounded by his favorite people and he loves everyone! While he will happily spend time with another dog that matches his vibe, his eyes light up when he's getting loved on and he doesn't need the company of another dog to help him feel comfortable. Besides, we don't think he'll mind being the center of your attention anyways. He'll soak it all up.
Olaf also met our house cat Biggie and met him appropriately and was very respectful around him. He did not chase Biggie, nor was he bothered by Biggie jumping or doing what cats do. Biggie also felt comfortable around him as well. We do not know if he has ever lived in a home before with a cat and this was our first time seeing him with a cat. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know!
Olaf isn’t just looking for a home, he’s looking for his people. The ones who are ready for a steady, loyal companion who will greet you with a wagging tail, settle in beside you after a long day, ride calmly in the car, and quietly become the best decision you’ve ever made. He’s the kind of dog who doesn’t need to be flashy to stand out. His goodness speaks for itself. If you’ve been waiting for that easygoing, well-mannered, dog-friendly, kid-loving Great Pyrenees who feels like he’s always been yours… this is your sign. Olaf is ready to start his forever chapter. All he needs now is you.
We are willing to test Prince Olaf with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know.
