Gus is a sweet, sensitive boy who may be a little shy at first, but he has a curious and quietly adventurous spirit just waiting to shine. While he can be unsure in new situations, he’s already showing that he’s willing to explore and try new things—especially when he has a little encouragement and a familiar friend by his side.
He absolutely loves being around other dogs and takes a lot of comfort in their presence. Gus would thrive in a home with a confident, well-adjusted canine companion who can help show him the ropes and remind him that the world is full of safe, fun experiences. Having a doggy role model will go a long way in helping his confidence continue to grow.
Gus especially enjoys spending time outside, where he can play, explore, and take in all the new sights and smells at his own pace. He would love a home that gives him regular opportunities to be outdoors and burn off a little energy while building confidence in a low-pressure way.
He’s currently working on potty training and will do best with consistency, routine, and a patient adopter who understands that he’s still learning. Like many puppies, he just needs a little guidance and encouragement to help everything click.
Compared to his brother, Gus is a bit more adventurous and willing to test the waters, even if he still approaches things thoughtfully. With time, reassurance, and a supportive environment, he’s sure to blossom into a confident, loving companion. Gus is looking for a home that will celebrate his small wins, go at his pace, and help him grow into the wonderful dog he’s meant to be.
Gus is a 3-month-old mixed breed who was rescued from a high-intake shelter. This dog's adoption fee is $800 and includes up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and neuter. Gus is also tested with other dogs, cats, and children. He is working on potty and kennel training in foster care. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if he might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.
Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information about our organization, please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
