Meet Buttermilk… but her friends call her Butter

At 9 years old, this beautiful Great Dane is the definition of a gentle giant. Butter is exceptionally sweet, calm, and incredibly easy to love. Her favorite things in life are simple: good food, long naps on fluffy beds or cozy furniture, and being close to her people.

Butter is a classic Dane “leaner,” which means when she loves you… she leans all 132 pounds of love right into you. If you’ve never experienced a Great Dane lean, you’re in for the sweetest hug you can imagine.

We’re currently working on helping Butter with her mobility, and she has been an absolute star patient at the vet clinic. She’s great with kids, cats, and other dogs, patient, cooperative, and handles everything with the gentle spirit that makes everyone fall in love with her.

Every now and then, her inner puppy still makes an appearance. Out of nowhere, Butter will surprise you with a few happy little bounces that remind you there’s still a playful girl inside that big, lovable body.

Butter is looking for a soft place to land where she can spend her golden years surrounded by love, comfort, and plenty of naps.

If you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for this sweet 132-lb snuggle bug, Buttermilk would love to meet you.
