Great Dane Dogs Available for Adoption

Salem is a 6 year old great dane who finds herself in need of a new home. She spent 6 years in a home and was then posted for free on Craigslist...that's where her rescue story started! This girl is a sweet and affectionate gentle giant who loves being close to her people. She’s friendly with dogs and cats and would be happiest as the only dog or with a submissive dog friend. She’s not aggressive—she just needs help learning personal space with other dogs because she loves to be involved.

Salem enjoys running and playing outside, has great recall, and is fully potty trained. She’s cat-safe and won’t chase them. When her humans are away, she does not like a crate, but she can be left loose in the house and is not destructive.

In the evenings, Salem is a total cuddle bug who loves to curl up on the couch near you. She has a funny side too—at mealtime she’ll grumble and bark until her food is served. She may occasionally counter graze, but her foster mom is helping her learn better kitchen manners.

Salem especially loves women and can be a bit shy with men at first, but she warms up quickly with patience.

Salem's adoption fee is $400, which includes: her alter, a microchip, her rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.
