Lyra is an owner surrender, 5 yr old spayed female purebred Great Dane weighing in at 163#s. She's been bounced from home to home a bit and we are seeking a permanent placement for her to live out the rest of her life in security.

I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than being close to my person. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow to follow you around the house and keep you company, I might just be your perfect match. I absolutely adore attention and will happily soak up all the love you have to give. 💛
When it’s playtime, I can get a little goofy and love to run around and have fun. I’m great on a leash, kennel trained, and house trained, so I’m ready to settle right into a loving home. I’m also very treat motivated, which means I’m always eager to learn and please.
I’m a bit of a talker—I like to chat with my people—but don’t worry, I’m not a big barker. I’m more of a gentle conversationalist. 🐶
I do best in a calm, loving home where there’s plenty of time for cuddles and companionship. Loud noises and lots of chaos can make me nervous, and I may take a little time to warm up to men or new places. But once I feel safe, my loving personality really shines.
I love kids ages 4 and up and get along wonderfully with other dogs. In fact, I’d really love a doggy sibling to play with and help me feel comfortable. I’m happiest when I have a furry friend around.
I’m a bit of a free spirit, so a large fenced yard or property is a must to keep me safe and happy.
