Woody is a loving, goofy young dog whose favorite place in the world is right next to his person. He’s the definition of a “velcro dog” and thrives when he can be close to his humans. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will greet you with excitement, hugs, and endless affection, Woody may be the perfect match.
This sweet boy loves belly rubs, butt scratches, and soaking up attention. If the scratches stop too soon, he’ll gently nudge or nibble your hand as a reminder to keep going. Woody is playful, affectionate, and always eager to be involved in whatever his family is doing.

Woody is fully house trained and does well free-roaming the house while his people are away. He rides nicely in the car and already knows several basic commands, including sit, lay down, no, and out. He’s a smart dog who enjoys learning and is currently working on leash manners. When he sees other people or dogs on walks, he gets excited and may try to pull because he’s eager to say hello.

One of Woody’s cutest quirks is his love for stuffed animals and throw pillows. He often carries them to his bed and softly whines into them while relaxing, which perfectly captures his sweet and silly personality.

Woody currently lives with children and does very well with them. He is friendly and affectionate with people and enjoys being part of the family. He also lives with cats and generally ignores them, though he can get curious if they hiss and may try to chase them in a playful way. Slow introductions and confident cats would likely help everyone settle in comfortably.

Woody also enjoys the company of other dogs and would likely do very well with a canine companion to play with and keep him company.

Like many young dogs, Woody still has a few things he’s working on. He can jump when he gets very excited, and he’s learning better leash manners. He has also recently discovered digging and may try to investigate the trash if it’s accessible. Consistent guidance and structure will help him continue to grow into a wonderful companion.

Woody is not a fan of nail trims and finds automatic litter boxes a bit scary. He also has a cherry eye that will require surgical correction in the future, and he currently has some areas of thinning hair that are growing back.

Woody’s ideal home is one where he can receive plenty of love and attention. He would thrive with a family that understands his affectionate, people-oriented personality and doesn’t mind a dog who wants to be close by most of the time. A home with another friendly dog and space to play would be a great fit for this playful, loving boy.
