Would you like to have the most adorable dog in the neighborhood? If so you don't need to look any further. This cute guy is Apollo.
He is a 2 year old male Golden Doodle with a heart of gold and lovely locks to match.
He has had a very rough start for the past two years. He was never properly cared for and spent most of his time tied out outside. He nearly died after choking while being tied out. Thankfully he came to AFL and he now has a new lease on life.
Apollo loves people, dogs, and cats. He can be a little nervous meeting new folks, but with calm voices and slow movements he warms right up. He loves cuddles, and wants to be with his people all the time.
He’s neutered, house and crate trained. Apollo is very smart and is a fast learner. He is treat-motivated and his foster mom says he has learned a lot already in the short time he has been with her. She finds that being consistent with the training is making Apollo thrive. If you want a travel buddy, he adores car rides and outings.
His ideal home has a fenced yard, and he’d love another friendly dog to romp with. Because he’s high energy, older kids or an active person who enjoys exercise and playing ball would be a great match. Ongoing training is strongly recommended to help him reach his full potential. Also consistent grooming is very important for this dog breed.
If you’re looking for a best friend and a wonderful addition to your family, please reach out to us to meet him at adoptafriendforlife.org.
