Meet Waffles!

Waffles is an 11-month-old, 30-lb., “F1b” Goldendoodle — which means he is a good mix of Golden Retriever and Poodle. He’s cute as a bug and he’s brought a lot of joy and laughter into his home.

Sadly, his people are a busy family with frequent visitors and three young children at home, and they realize they’re not able to give Waffles the focused attention and structured environment he needs.

His people have noticed he's done occasional resource guarding due to the busy household and the competition for attention. One of the resource guarding incidents ended with a bite to one of the young kids in the home. For this reason, Waffles will need an adopter who will be committed to working with a force-free behavior consultant, and who can carefully manage his environment and give him consistent boundaries and structure --- ideally a home where he can settle and build confidence.

His people feel that with good training there will be real potential for Waffles to become an incredible companion in the right home. He really is a sweet and happy boy and would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention.

He’s a darling and very energetic, playful, eager-to-please boy. He may also do well in agility training.

Waffles is neutered, microchipped, up to date on his veterinary care; and he’s fully crate trained, house trained and leash trained. He’s comfortable around other dogs and goes to doggy daycare regularly.

A quieter household, or one with another confident, gentle dog, could be a wonderful environment for him to reset and grow.
