Golden Retriever Dogs Available for Adoption

Hi! My name is Ruby and I am looking for a forever home. I am an owner surrender to a small rescue and my owner told them I actually just showed up at their house and after they couldn't find my owner, had originally decided to keep me but then realized their dogs and I just didn't get along. I love getting attention from people but I can be a little picky about what dogs I do and don't like so I would love to find a home where I could get all of the attention or do a meet-n-greet with beforehand. I also do not like those things called cats so will need a home without them, too. Even though I already have a litte "sugar" on my face, the vet feels I'm about 6years old and I currently weigh a little over 60lbs (my foster mom has me on a reduced amount of food as the vet says I need to lose a few pounds). While I would much prefer to be out with you, I have done ok in my crate. For the most part, I'm good on a leash unless I see something that really interests me (like a small critter or a cat) and then I can pull some.
