KCK Animal Services is located at 3301 Park Drive, KCK.

WEEKEND ADOPTION EVENTS:
SATURDAY, APRIL 25 from 12-3PM: BIRTHDAY BASH ADOPTION EVENT AT BREIT’S STEIN AND DELI! Breit’s is located at 412 N. 5th St, KCKC 66101. We will have multiple dogs on site up for adoption! We will also have great raffle prizes, when you purchase a raffle ticket all proceeds go to the life saving care of our animals!! Stop by for some great food, cute dogs, and amazing raffle prizes!

SATURDAY, APRIL 25 from 12-3PM: DOG ADOPTION EVENT at the OLATHE PETSMART at 119th & Strang Line with volunteers from Heart of America Humane Society. We'll have several wonderful dogs there looking for homes!

KELLY was rescued from the basement of an abandoned house where she'd given birth to her 6 puppies. She was dumped when she was 6 months old and left to fend for herself. Kelly is just a baby herself, barely a year old. She weighs 40 lbs.

Kelly has been in survival mode most her life, but now she is safe and loved and learning to relax. You can see the exhaustion in her eyes, but she is not aggressive at all, she is just scared.

Kelly will need a home with someone who will give her as much time as she needs to gain confidence and trust. Another dog in the home would be comforting and help her learn to trust. Kelly will need to be kept secure and not given the opportunity to run off while she bonds with her new family. A home with someone who has experience with unsocialized dogs would be ideal.

We know that with time and love this gentle girl will blossom and be forever grateful and loyal to her new family.



ADOPTING A DOG
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).

If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.

We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
