Meet Charlie!

A joyful one-and-a-half-year-old Golden Retriever currently in Fort Worth, TX, whose essence is a golden burst of sunshine wrapped in 70 pounds of wagging enthusiasm. This handsome boy is still very much in his puppy era, complete with bright eyes, boundless energy, and a heart that seems to grow bigger by the day!

AKC registered and beautifully built, Charlie is the kind of companion who greets life with a full body wiggle. He is playful, affectionate, and wonderfully social! Having spent time around children ranging from infants to teens, he has shown himself to be gentle and loving with kids. He is also friendly with cats and thrives when meeting other dogs, especially after completing a three month professional training program that helped shape his impressive manners.

Charlie is house-trained, crate-trained, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Charlie will be required to be neutered prior to placement in his new home. He responds confidently to sit, stay, wait, settle, off, speak, shake, and comes when called. He does wonderfully with structure, including morning and evening walks and two meals a day. When left alone briefly, he relaxes comfortably in his crate.

This golden boy lives for zoomies in the backyard, joyful swims, car rides, and proudly carrying his treasures around the house! Socks are considered prized possessions in his world, so a playful eye is helpful. His BarkBox super chewer toys are favorites, and he loves engaging in games that challenge both his body and mind.

Charlie would be compatible with a family who is home often, possibly with another animal companion, and committed to continuing his positive reinforcement training. He is making great progress with polite greetings and simply needs consistency and guidance as he grows.
