Polar is a 4‑month‑old Labrador/Golden Retriever mix with a heart as soft as his golden fur.

Found as a tiny stray in Houston, he’s now a happy, healthy, playful pup with stunning jade‑green eyes and a “one leg dipped in snow” look that makes him unforgettable.

At 18lbs now, he’s on track to be a 35–40 lb medium boy — the perfect size for adventures and couch snuggles.

Currently Polar is being fostered near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $250 for transport.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
