Golden Retriever and Hound Dogs Available for Adoption

Fitz will be joining us from one of our overcrowded shelter partners on Hawaii on 3/23 and will need a foster or adoptive home in Orange County upon his arrival!

This adorable guy is estimated to be about 6 months old and weighs 30lbs currently. He is neutered, needs one more round of vaccines, is microchipped, and is on flea/tick HW medication.

While we think he is a golden retriever/hound mix, he may be part lab (or something else entirely)! We do want to be transparent that we are not 100% confident on his breed mix so that anyone looking specifically for a golden retriever isn't disappointed if he ends up not being a golden retriever at all.

Fitz is described as nice and sweet. He does love treats! He's a little shy, but for a young pup in a shelter environment, that's not unexpected. He reportedly walks well on leash even though tail tucked the whole way. He already seems to know that if he wants attention, he needs to sit first.

He will get larger since he is still young.

Fitz will do best in an environment that is willing to work with him on training, including obedience, crate, and potty training. For the home that is willing to put in the effort with him, he's going to be an incredible dog!
