Godiva is a beautiful girl with a heart the size of Texas. Her favorite hobbies include lounging on the couch, getting belly rubs, and playing with her foster siblings. She does great with other dogs and puppies, and even does well when her foster mom has her grandkids over to visit. She is an all around good girl.

Godiva was rescued from the county shelter, where she and her puppies were scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. They were all going to lose their lives despite being happy and healthy. Now they are all safe, and Godiva is ready to take on the world and find her forever home!

*We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.

*Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.

*Listed breed is based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.

*Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

*All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!

With a striking coat that is typically liver and white, these dogs are energetic, loyal, and make excellent companions for active families. They excel in various canine sports, such as agility and field trials, and are eager to please their owners. Their keen sense of smell and natural hunting instincts make them ideal for hunting birds and small game. Socialization and mental stimulation are essential for the well being of this breed.
