DESCRIPTION
Meet Bear
A Neutered 5 year old German Shorthaired Pointer with a beautiful solid chocolate coat and a heart that was never meant for hunting...
Just for loving.
Bear does great with other dogs and gets along with children. He hasn't been introduced to cats yet, so a slow introduction is recommended before adoption.
For most of his life, Bear has lived outside. Because of that, he is not house trained yet- but he's never truly been given the chance to learn what its like to be part of a home indoors and will need lots of patience and training.
He is a smart boy who already knows some commands like stay and heel.
Bear came to us because he wasn't the right fit as a hunting companion. But being "not good enough" for one purpose doesn't mean he isn't exactly right for another.
He doesn't care about the guns or that kind of game/ chase. He doesn't live to perform. He simply wants to run for fun, play without pressure, and be close to the people around him.
What Bear needs is not a job but a chance..
A chance to be inside, a chance to learn, a chance to be loved, and a chance to finally belong.
He was never meant to be a hunter but simply a loyal, playful, loving dog whose heart was meant to be someone's best friend.
