ABOUT SARAH
Who doesn't love a snuggly shepherd?! Sarah is a 3-year-old German Shepherd looking for a fresh start. She came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in Georgia when they no longer had space for her. There, Sarah had six beautiful babies, but all were at risk of euthanasia due to lack of space. We knew we could help Sarah and her pups, so they made the venture to Delaware! Shortly after arriving, Sarah let us know that she was over her puppies shark teeth and needed some TLC for herself. Since giving her kids up for adoption, Sarah has been happier than ever! While she is a friendly girl, she is true to her breed. The more time you spend with her, the more snuggly and loving she becomes. When she's not melting into someone's lap, Sarah is happy to explore outside. She loves going for long walks, learning new tricks, and making friends. Sarah has done well meeting other adult dogs, though we'd recommend dogs that can keep up with her size and energy!
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
