Meet Tito — a beautiful young German Shepherd who got his second chance when we couldn’t bear to leave him behind at the San Antonio shelter after his kennel mate was rescued. We believe friends shouldn’t be separated, so Tito made the journey north too — and now he’s waiting for a home of his very own.

At about 1 year old and 65 pounds, Tito is still very much a puppy at heart. He is gentle and sweet, but naturally shy, especially in new environments. Once he feels safe, his soft, loving personality begins to shine.

Tito is friendly with other dogs and kind people, but he would do best in a calm, low-traffic home without young children. Loud or busy households can be overwhelming for him. What he needs most is a patient adopter who will give him time to settle in, build trust, and come out of his shell at his own pace.

With consistency, kindness, and a quiet environment, Tito has all the potential to blossom into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion — the kind of dog who bonds deeply with “his person.”
