German Shepherd Dog Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Ambra, a beautiful shepherd with a long coat and a gentle nature. When she arrived, her vet team quickly came together to save her from possible euthanasia. Her family had not been able to get her help for five days because they live in a very rural area, where the nearest emergency vet is a three-hour drive away.

She is now recovering from injuries after being hit by a car and having surgery. Ambra has an infection in her leg, so we are waiting for test results to see if her antibiotics need to be changed. For the next 6 to 8 weeks, she will visit the hospital twice a week for bandage changes and will rest in her crate, with two short walks each day for bathroom breaks. Ambra has a long recovery ahead and will need ongoing care during this time. Any support, such as donations, supplies, or kind messages, is truly appreciated as we help her heal. Ambra enjoys her meals, takes her medicine calmly, and loves being petted and hearing that she's a good girl. She doesn't mind her cone to keep her bandages intact, but appreciates having it off to eat her meals and drink water more easily.

We look forward to sharing more updates as Ambra heals and her coat grows back. Once her vet team clears her, she will be able to meet the other dogs in her foster home and make new friends.

Ambra's treatment could require more surgeries, but for now, only her spaying surgery is planned once she has healed from her current injuries.

Ambra will be ready for adoption once she is medically cleared and has been spayed.
