I’m Murphy. I’ve Been Through a Lot. I’m Still Here, Still Sweet, and Ready to Start Over.
I’m about a year old. Neutered. Medium size with a black and brown coat. A young shepherd who should have been out exploring the world, not fighting to heal.
I was found alone after being hit by a car. No one came looking for me. No one claimed me. But people stepped in, and everything changed.
I had injuries that took time, care, and patience to heal. My jaw, my face, even my eye. I went through more than most dogs ever should. But here’s the part everyone notices when they meet me.
I stayed kind.
I lean into people. I look for comfort. I don’t carry fear the way you’d expect. I meet you with softness, with trust, with a quiet kind of strength.
I’m still young. I’m still learning. I’m figuring out gentle play, boundaries, and what it means to just be a dog again. Every day I feel better. Every day I get stronger.
I don’t need anything complicated. I need a home that gives me consistency, kindness, and a little patience as I keep moving forward.
If you’re the kind of person who sees past what a dog has been through and focuses on who they are now, you’ll understand me right away.
A dog who chose to trust anyway.
A dog who is ready to live a normal, happy life.
All I’m missing now is a place to call mine.
