DESCRIPTION
Meet Maggie May, formerly Mama Rita. She and her eight puppies were on the kill list at a high kill CA shelter. We could not let that happen, and were fortunate to find a wonderful last minute foster to take them in. Once a home was found for her puppies, Maggie May eagerly waited for her home to come. She though she was safe and loved, but was returned for none other than killing some chickens (which were not known to us at the time of adoption). Realistically, she is very sweet and calm. She gives lots of kisses and just wants to be close to her people. Maggie does great on a leash and is very food motivated. She knows a few commands (no, come) and is a quick learner so will pick up more easily. Maggie is relatively shy with people initially. But once she has built trust she is extremely affectionate and loving. Maggie does great with kids, adults, cats and dogs (but not chickens). If you are interested in meeting Maggie please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.org and text 775-846-3773.
