Hi! I'm Maddox — a handsome black beauty and a German Shepherd through and through.
Smart, curious, and just a little goofy when the mood strikes.

I'm dog- and people-friendly, and I enjoy getting out and about. Car rides? Easy. I hop right in like a pro. On walks, I'm a gentleman on a front-clip harness (martingale = I might test my strength a bit ), and when we're out exploring I love to sniff and take it all in. Traffic, doors, stairs, bridges, bikes, kids—none of it really rattles me. I'm a confident guy and not much phases me.

It's pretty clear I've been someone's dog before. I know my basics, walk well, and listen nicely. In the field, I'll come when called most of the time—which is impressive considering I'm still getting to know my people. I like playing ball and am happy to give it up so we can do it all over again. Chase is the fun part!

I'm very treat-motivated (working on taking them more gently), know sit and down, and probably have a few more tricks up my sleeve. I'm super smart—food puzzles were no match for me—and I learn fast. Goats were interesting but not irresistible, and while I'm not sure how I feel about cats yet, kids at the playground didn't bother me one bit.

I can be a little cautious at first, but I warm up quickly. My favorite things are treats, training, and physical affection. I'm easy to handle, not a guarder, and can get adorably wiggly when I'm excited. When playtime starts, my silly side really comes out.

I'm a typical young GSD: brainy, athletic, and ready for an active family who enjoys training and living life with a smart dog by their side. If you're looking for a confident, sweet, slightly goofy best friend... I might just be your guy.
