DESCRIPTION
There are so many mysteries when a stray dog arrives.
What’s their age, name, history, favorite color, are all unknowns. If only dogs could talk we wouldn’t have to play the guessing game. But Tristan story shall remain hidden. We don’t know if he’s an old guy that is looks great or a young guy with bad teeth. Tristan can be a little wobbly and really loves doing his own thing. Tristan is easy to hang with, young or old.
Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
All dogs will be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers).
We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
