Meet Sweetpea, a one year old German Shepherd mix weighing 53 pounds.

Sweetpea is a beautiful little German Shepherd with an extra dose of charm—just look at that adorable overbite! She’s a wonderfully smaller-sized Shepherd, but still full of all the loyalty and heart the breed is known for. German Shepherds are intelligent, devoted dogs who thrive when they have close companionship and purpose, often forming strong bonds and staying closely connected to their people.

And that’s exactly Sweetpea—she just wants to be with you. She is your constant companion, your "shadow," and yes... even a bit of a tripping hazard because she’s always right there at your feet or between your legs, ready to follow you wherever you go.

Sweetpea is incredibly sweet, enjoys other dogs, and loves soft plush toys she can carry around or snuggle with. She’s still working on potty training and learning routines, and she’s already showing she prefers being close to her people—sometimes even sleeping in bed at night if allowed.

She is also quite the escape artist and can get out of standard crates, so she may need a more secure setup or creative management for crate time.
