DESCRIPTION
Meet Alexandra!
Alexandra is a 1-year-old long-haired German Shepherd whose world changed overnight through no fault of her own. But what hasn’t changed is her incredibly sweet, gentle nature.
Alexandra is the kind of dog who just wants to be close to her people. She has a calm, soft presence and settles into a home beautifully. She’s great with kids, house trained, crate trained, and dog friendly, making her an easy addition to many families.
At about 63 lbs and still growing, Alexandra will likely be a big, stunning shepherd girl, but her heart is even bigger. She would be happy as an only dog or sharing her home with another pup.
She didn’t choose the situation that brought her to rescue... but we can choose the happy ending she deserves.
Alexandra is ready to find the family who will never let her world turn upside down again.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
ABOUT: GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG DOG BREED
The German Shepherd Dog, known for its intelligence, loyalty, and versatility, is a popular and highly regarded breed worldwide. This breed excels in various roles such as police work, search and rescue, and assistance for individuals with disabilities. German Shepherd Dogs are strong, agile, and confident with a distinctive double coat that can be straight or wavy. Their character is marked by courage, loyalty, and a strong work ethic, making them ideal companions and protectors for families and professionals alike.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
