DESCRIPTION
Pisces is a gentle gal who's just beginning her journey toward the life she deserves. This sweet girl recently came to us from south Texas in very rough shape-underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, and battling several medical issues. But in just a short time with proper care, Pisces has already shown incredible resilience and heart.
At around 30 pounds and very underweight, Pisces is currently on a special feeding plan to help her regain strength. She's also being treated for heartworms, along with a few other conditions that are already improving with medication and TLC. The good news is that she's responding well to treatment, and on the road to recovery.
Despite everything she's been through, Pisces has remained a sweet, gentle girl who clearly wants to trust and connect with people. Staff describe her as kind-hearted and cooperative during care-she's the type of dog who quietly leans into affection once she realizes she's safe. Pisces is available for foster or adoption and would do best in a home environment while she continues to heal.
ABOUT: GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG DOG BREED
The German Shepherd Dog, known for its intelligence, loyalty, and versatility, is a popular and highly regarded breed worldwide. This breed excels in various roles such as police work, search and rescue, and assistance for individuals with disabilities. German Shepherd Dogs are strong, agile, and confident with a distinctive double coat that can be straight or wavy. Their character is marked by courage, loyalty, and a strong work ethic, making them ideal companions and protectors for families and professionals alike.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
