He was really struggling in the shelter, but with their help he has truly flourished and is now ready for his forever family. Scooby is an energetic, adventurous dog who needs an active owner who will spend time with him on walks, hikes, and playtime. He has learned so much from his trainer, including sit, stay, down, recall, and even how to politely wait at doors and gates. He also loves a good game of fetch and will happily chase after toys, especially if you stay engaged with him. This handsome boy is excellent in the car and kennel, quiet and clean, and shows every sign of being house trained. While he has made progress with dog interactions, Scooby would thrive best as the only pet in the home. His trainer describes him as affectionate but independent, a dog who enjoys love but also prefers to explore the world around him. Whoever adopts Scooby will receive a free training session with Custom K9 to help continue his progress, with additional discounted training opportunities available if desired. This is an amazing chance to welcome a dog who already has a strong foundation and a love for learning. All dogs adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are spayed/ neutered, microchipped, dewormed, appropriately vaccinated, and receive a topical 90-day flea/ tick preventative.
