With a name like Sargent Pepper, you know he’s got a little star power… and he absolutely lives up to it.

This affectionate, attentive, and inquisitive pup is a total lovebug wrapped in puppy energy. One minute he’s exploring the world with curiosity, the next he’s flopped over at your feet, gazing up at you and patiently waiting for belly rubs like it’s his full-time job.

Sargent Pepper is incredibly responsive and eager to please, especially for such a young pup. He thrives on human connection and praise, and it’s clear he’s going to be a dream to train. He’s already showing how adaptable and in-tune he is with his people, forming strong bonds and looking to you for guidance.

He loves snuggling, being outside, playing with other dogs, and soaking up all the attention he can get. While he does have that classic puppy energy, he also settles nicely and enjoys relaxing right beside his person.

Sargent Pepper is still learning the basics. He’s working on house training, crate training, and leash manners. He can find new environments a little intimidating at first and is currently working through some separation anxiety, but he responds beautifully to reassurance and is already making great progress.

His ideal home would be an active household with a yard and people who are excited to continue his training and give him the structure and love he thrives on.

He is being fostered in Richmond, VA and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. His adoption fee is $375 and covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required neuter when age-appropriate. We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog’s age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership. Spay/Neuter Disclosure:
Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. We require adopters to be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach in order to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.

Beagles and Bentleys has an across-the-board evaluative process that we apply to every application we review that prioritizes our animals in need. We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on dhpp/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies) and a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
