If you’ve never seen a Frenchie waddle with pure joy, you’re in for a treat. I’m Simone, a young French Bulldog girl, and I’ve got a walk all my own.

I was born with a back leg deformity, thanks to backyard breeding. Three vets have looked me over, and they all agree it’s genetic and there’s nothing to fix. That’s okay with me! I can still walk, run around, play, and live a normal, happy life. I don’t know I’m different, and I don’t let it stop me from enjoying every single day.

Not long ago, things were very different. I was found in the woods, so thin you could see my bones, and I could barely walk at all. Thanks to my foster mom, I’ve filled out, gotten stronger in my back end, and turned into a thriving, happy girl.

Kids are wonderful in my book, and I’m good with dogs bigger than me too. Because of my prey drive, small animals aren’t a good match for me. I’m a big toy lover, and I’m still learning my house and kennel training. I’m giving it my best effort every day.

To stay healthy, I need a calm home with a family committed to keeping me that way. I get scared when I’m left outside, and I’ll run nonstop until my back legs give out and I collapse. I’m also on arthritis medicine, which helps my legs feel their best, and I’ll need to stay on it in my new home.
