Foxhound Dogs Available for Adoption

Meet Sera:

Sera is a 7.5-month-old, 34 lb Foxhound and an all around bundle of love. She has a beautiful red coat with light brown eyes and nose! She is like a wobbly baby deer sometimes, learning how her long legs work.

Sera is a calm (for a puppy) and loving dog. She loves to follow you, play with her toys, and be cuddled. Sera is not a fan of the crate but is house trained for the most part, and will sleep next to you on a dog bed on the floor.

Sera is being fostered with a 10 lb chihuahua foster sister. She is very curious of the little dog and friendly. She probably would benefit from a canine playmate but she equally entertains herself. She throws balls outside for herself and always has a toy by her side indoors for chewing. All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Sera is learning to walk on a leash and doing a great job. Her hound lineage loves to stop and smell. If outdoor noises startle her, she benefits from gentle coaxing. Sera does not have any experience with cats or children.

Sera would love to find a patient and loving forever home who wants the puppy experience. Her forever home should be ready to show her the world is a beautiful and happy place.

Sera is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00.
