Meet Sunny

Sunny is a 1-year-old neutered hound mix weighing about 50 pounds, and he truly lives up to his name. He's a chill, easygoing guy who enjoys playtime but doesn't get overly excited. He plays nicely with other dogs, shares toys and treats without issue, and has a naturally gentle spirit. (Cats, however, are a bit too tempting for him - he will chase.)

Sunny was found chasing cars in a rural area outside of San Antonio. He had originally been adopted from the local shelter about a year ago, but when attempts were made to contact the registered owner, no one responded. Neighbors shared that his owner had moved away and left him behind. Thankfully, a kind woman had been feeding him, but she was no longer able to continue. She told us he was wonderful with her young children - and we absolutely believe it. Sunny is incredibly gentle and sweet.

He walks nicely on a leash, does well in a crate, and has had no accidents in the house. He already knows how to sit and is always happy to hand out kisses. His vet check confirmed he's a healthy boy and ready for his fresh start. He tends to want to chase cats so no cats.

Sunny arrives in Minnesota on Saturday, 2/21, where he'll be in a foster home with toddlers and other dogs. We're excited to see him settle in and continue to shine.
