Backstory:
Pelusa’s story is one of quiet resilience, gentle strength, and a heart that never stopped trusting. At just four years old, this beautiful Filand Spitz mix has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. Found in Mexico and later diagnosed with distemper, Pelusa faced a difficult road—but she never gave up. With care, patience, and her own brave spirit, she pulled through and emerged as a true survivor.

Today, she carries that experience not with fear, but with a calm, loving nature that makes her incredibly special. Weighing about 25 pounds, Pelusa is the perfect medium-sized companion—small enough to cuddle, yet sturdy enough to join you on daily walks and adventures. Her brown and black coat gives her a soft, warm look that matches her personality perfectly. Pelusa is wonderfully well-rounded. She gets along beautifully with women, men, children, other dogs, and even cats. She’s the kind of dog who brings a quiet harmony into a home—never overwhelming, always steady and kind.

With a medium energy level, she enjoys her walks and outdoor time (especially in a yard, which she would love), but she’s just as happy to relax by your side afterward. She is fully house trained and currently working on her crate training, showing great progress. Pelusa walks nicely on a leash with a harness and is not reactive to people or other dogs. She rides calmly in the car, doesn’t bark unnecessarily, and isn’t destructive. She can be handled easily and shows no signs of food aggression—just gratitude for every meal and every moment of care.

Because of her gentle nature, Pelusa would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to keep her company, though it’s not required. She can adapt to apartment living, but a home with a yard would truly make her happiest. Pelusa isn’t just a survivor—she’s a soft soul who has come through hardship with grace. She’s ready now for the life she’s always deserved: one filled with love, safety, and a family to call her own. If you’re looking for a loyal, calm, and deeply loving companion, Pelusa is waiting to meet you.

ABOUT: FINNISH SPITZ DOG BREED

The Finnish Spitz is a medium sized breed known for its fox like appearance, with erect ears, a bushy tail, and a dense double coat that comes in shades of golden red. Originating in Finland, these lively and energetic dogs were traditionally used for hunting small game, including birds and squirrels. Their distinctive yodel like bark, known as the "bark of the north," makes them excellent watchdogs. Finnish Spitz are intelligent, independent, and affectionate, making them loyal companions for active families.
