How do they handle new situations? Toby may be a little shy at first, but he warms up very fast once he takes everything in and is happy to say hello to everyone he meets.

How are they with people? He has been wonderful with everyone so far. He might take a minute to get comfortable, but once he does, he goes right up to people for attention and enjoys being pet.
How are they with other dogs? Very easygoing. He gets along well with other dogs and doesn’t get bothered by much.
Cats or other animals? Unknown with cats, but his calm personality suggests he would do well with proper introductions, very good with other dogs (note: foster in Texas suggests no small dogs)
Behavior when left alone / guests visiting: Very relaxed in the house. He settles easily and handles new people calmly.

Toby enjoys a simple routine! walks around the neighborhood, sniffing everything along the way, relaxing at home, and getting lots of affection. He rides great in the car, eats well, and sleeps through the night (with the cutest little snore).
His exercise needs are moderate, but overall he has a very calm, laid back personality.
Favorite things include treats, walks, being close to his people, and getting scratches, especially when he rubs against your legs asking for more love.

He’s still building confidence in new environments, but he improves quickly with patience and encouragement. Treats help a lot — he’s very gentle and eager to please.

Toby is one of those dogs that’s easy to fall in love with. He has the sweetest face, the gentlest personality, and such a calm presence. He loves being near you and leans against you for pets, and rubs against your legs when he wants more attention. He’s great in the car, great on walks, great with other dogs, and overall just a very easy dog to have around. His mellow personality makes him the kind of dog who could fit into almost any home. Whoever adopts him is getting a truly special companion and the best movie watching pal!
