Hi my name is Waffles! I just arrived to NCAL and the staff are still getting to know me. Please check back in soon for more information!
Waffles is a resilient, loving dog who has made an incredible recovery after surviving as a stray throughout her pregnancy and giving birth just days after being rescued. Foster describes her as a quiet, laid-back "couch potato" who enjoys sleeping, snuggling, and spending time with her people. She is mostly house-trained, sleeps through the night in her crate, rides calmly in the car, and has not shown any fears, sensitivities, handling issues, or aggressive behaviors. Waffles is affectionate without being overly demanding, enjoys cuddling on the couch, and is described as a "Trooper, Huggable, and Silly" companion.
Waffles has demonstrated exceptional social skills in foster care, living successfully with five dogs ranging from 15 to 45 pounds as well as two cats without any negative interactions. Her play style is calm, respectful, and low-key, making her an excellent fit for a relaxed household and potentially a home with other pets. She walks nicely on leash, is learning commands, and knows "back." The only minor management need noted is that she tends to eat quickly and benefits from a slow feeder or puzzle bowl. Overall, Waffles is a gentle, well-mannered dog who has overcome a difficult past and is now ready for a loving home where she can continue enjoying the comfort, security, and companionship she deserves.
My adoption fee includes vaccinations, a microchip, and I am spayed/ neutered.
