English Bulldog and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption

Please note: Our March 7 & 8 puppy event will take place at the Women's Health, Beauty & Bridal Show inside the Mohegan Sun Casino from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days. This is a ticketed event, and entry requires a ticket to the casino's event. There will be very limited availability for private appointments outside of event hours that weekend.

Meet Louie! At three years old, he is in that perfect in-between age - past the wild puppy chaos, but still full of playful, goofy joy. This medium sized bulldog mix has the kind of face that tells a whole story without saying a word. His soft eyes are gentle and thoughtful, and when he leans into you (because he absolutely will), you can feel just how much love he has to give.

When Louie was at the shelter, he carried himself with a happy-go-lucky spirit that melted everyone around him. Despite everything he's been through, he wagged his tail easily, soaked up attention, and reminded us all just how resilient dogs can be. He truly seems to choose joy.

Louie is the kind of dog who bonds deeply. He's happiest close to his people - whether that's lounging at your feet, taking a slow stroll around the neighborhood, or soaking up belly rubs like they're his full-time job. He has that classic bulldog mix charm: A little stubborn, very expressive, and endlessly loyal once you're "his".

Louie is currently heartworm positive, and while that may sound scary, it's treatable. His heartworm treatment is covered by All Paws On Deck through Norwich Vet. He'll need a committed adopter willing to help him through the treatment process and provide the rest and care he needs while he heals. What he needs most is stability, patience, and someone who sees him for more than a diagnosis. Heartworm does not define him - his sweetness, resilience, and happy heart do.
