Meet Yara! This beautiful brindle gal of about 8 months of age was adopted but it wasn’t the right fit for her, so she is on the search for a person who will understand her breed, give her what she needs to succeed, and have the patience to know it will be ongoing journey!

Yara is energetic and enthusiastic. She needs to channel this in a positive way and is looking for guidance and direction. This breed requires a confident person who will provide leadership, and give her the tools to bring out all the best in her.
She is still jumpy, can be mouthy, so training is a must for her to learn good manners. She does play fetch with a ball, enjoys games of tug, and these are great ways to incorporate fun time with training time.

She has a bossy side to her, and will need to learn that she doesn’t run the show, and has to give up things when asked. She also has exhibited some “herding “ instinct so if she will exist with another canine pal, this needs to be kept in check.

Yara knows sit, down, and is sure to excel with consistent training to learn even more commands. She does love treats so that will keep her engaged when learning new things. She is still working on her leash manners and can be vocal at times when appointments new people. It will be key to keep her socialized and learn proper introductions. She is quite snuggly with her person and loves pets of praise. A home without small children will be the best way for her to start her journey as she learns what is expected of her.
