DESCRIPTION
Meet Captain: Captain is a 2-year-old mixed breed who was rescued from Hendry County in 2025 and is ready to find his forever home. He's a high-energy, playful boy who loves to run, explore, and engage in interactive play with his favorite toys. Captain also has a softer side-when he's relaxed, he absolutely loves to cuddle and snuggle with his people. Captain is dog selective and would do best with careful introductions to other dogs. Because of his size, strength, and energy level, he is looking for an adult-only home and is not a good fit for homes with children. Captain would thrive with an adopter who has previous experience with powerful breeds and understands canine behavior. He benefits from clear structure, consistent guidance, and positive reinforcement training. With the right leadership, Captain is eager to learn and can continue building confidence and improving his manners. He loves being both mentally and physically stimulated-walks, training sessions, enrichment games, and interactive toys are some of his favorite things. Captain would do best in an active home that can keep up with his energy while providing plenty of love, attention, and companionship. If you're an experienced dog owner looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Captain may be the perfect match for you.
