DESCRIPTION
Say hello to Studebaker, aka Baker, our lovely dobie/hound mix! Baker is about ~8 years old and had a weekend foster to experience life in a home for the first time.
Baker was surrendered to us after living his entire life outside out on a chain. This gentle guy never experienced a warm bed, blanket, or 4 walls before coming to us. His weekend foster was shocked to learn that he had never lived inside, as he did fabulous with her! He did not try to counter surf, didn’t bark all throughout her apartment, and even slept in bed with her. When visitors came, he was a perfect gentleman who did not get overly excited or shy away from strangers. He would get slightly spooked by the hustle and bustle of city life, but took it in stride. Naturally he preferred hiking in the woods, but had no issues walking by squirrels, birds, people, and other dogs. He only had one accident inside the apartment all weekend! Baker did react to cats when he went in for his neuter, but has been a doll when passing by them in the shelter since.
Baker would love his first opportunity at experiencing a true forever family. He has been neutered, chipped, and fully vetted.
