Myra’s story is one of incredible resilience — but what truly defines her is the joyful, loving dog she has become.

When Myra first came to us, she had clearly been through more than any dog should experience. Despite that rough start, her spirit never broke. Instead, she showed us just how strong, forgiving, and full of life she truly is. Today, Myra is thriving and embracing everything that comes with finally being able to live like a dog should.

Myra is a Doberman / Shepherd mix — the perfect blend of two amazing breeds - with a sprinkle of Golden Retriever for extra sweetness. She has the intelligence, loyalty, and elegance of a Doberman paired with the confidence and versatility of a Shepherd. The result? A smart, affectionate, and engaging young dog who is always ready to be part of whatever her people are doing.

This young, active, fun-loving girl is almost a year old now, gaining strength, confidence, and showing more of her personality every day. She’s incredibly friendly, very smart, and eager to learn, which means she’ll do wonderfully with continued training. She’s already just about potty trained and continues to make great progress.

One of Myra’s most adorable quirks is her love for stuffies. She absolutely adores her toys — but unlike many dogs, she doesn’t destroy them. Instead, she carefully carries them around like prized possessions. They’re her “babies,” and if you adopt Myra, it’s truly a package deal — she will absolutely be bringing her beloved collection with her.

Myra can be sweet and classy one minute, and the life of the party the next. She loves being part of the action and enjoys both playtime and affection with her people. Her joyful energy is contagious, and she has a way of making everyone around her smile.

Because she’s still young and full of energy, Myra will do best with a family who is ready to continue her training, provide structure, and give her the exercise and engagement she needs to thrive. In return, she’ll give her family endless loyalty, love, and entertainment. She needs a yard with a physical fence to provide a safe space for her to run and play. She's good with larger dogs, but hasn't been around small dogs or cats. She likely has too much puppy energy for very young children, but older kids would be fine.

What Myra wants most is simple: a home where she can keep learning, keep playing, and finally be her family's beloved companion.
