Meet Chloe & Sparky – A Cozy, Food-Motivated Duo Looking for a Forever Home
Chloe and Sparky are a 12-year-old bonded pair hoping to find a forever home together where they can enjoy their golden years wrapped in blankets and love.
Chloe is a spayed red miniature dachshund who is all about affection. She’s extremely snuggly and always looking for love. Chloe is a professional blanket burrower and will happily disappear under the covers for a nap. She enjoys a nice walk and, like any good dachshund, is very food motivated — treats are the fastest way to her heart.
Sparky is a neutered Italian greyhound mix and a true gentleman. He walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys getting out for strolls just as much as Chloe. Sparky is sweet, gentle, and quietly affectionate. He also loves food (a lot!) and is eager and attentive when treats are involved.
Together, Chloe and Sparky love:
• Leisurely walks
• Cozy blankets and warm beds
• Snuggling with their people
• Treats and mealtime (they’re very food motivated!)
They are crate trained but would much rather snuggle in bed with their humans. Both do best with frequent potty breaks, so a home with a consistent routine or someone around often would be ideal.
Chloe and Sparky are calm, loving seniors who don’t need much — just a warm home, regular potty breaks, and the comfort of staying together. In return, they offer endless cuddles, companionship, and sweet, grateful hearts.
Chloe and Sparky are currently being fostered in Utah.
The $450 adoption fee is for both dogs, they must be adopted together as a bonded pair.
Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue (RMDR) has foster families in Colorado, Nevada, Utah, Montana, and Wyoming. Please check the dogs' location before your apply to adopt them. You will need to pick them up. RMDR DOES NOT TRANSPORT THE DOGS TO YOU or transport them across state lines.
The Colorado Department of Agriculture requires that all dogs entering PACFA-licensed facilities have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days of entry. Dogs over three months of age must also have proof of a current rabies vaccination, including the vaccination date, manufacturer, and serial number listed on the CVI. Puppies must receive parvovirus and distemper vaccinations at least 14 days before entry.
These PACFA requirements may affect the adoption fee. For questions, please email us at contact@rmdr.org.
At RMDR, adoptions are not first-come, first-served—we carefully place each dog in the home that best fits their needs. Applications are usually reviewed within 48 hours. Every RMDR dog is spayed/neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations.
