Dachshund Dogs Available for Adoption

Available February 13th!

Sage is a sweet, affectionate, approximately 2-year-old female Dachshund mix who came to Texas Rescue Riders on our December transport heavily pregnant. Shortly after arriving in Wisconsin, she gave birth to five puppies and has been a devoted, attentive mother. Sage has done an amazing job raising her litter, and now that her puppies are growing up, she’s ready to officially retire from motherhood and find a home of her very own.

Sage has been raised in a foster home with multiple dogs and four children, making her a well-rounded, social girl who is comfortable in a busy household. She is house-trained, loving, and enjoys being close to her people. Sage would thrive in a home where she can finally be the focus — no more puppies to care for, just a cozy couch, routine, and lots of affection. Sage is ready to start her next chapter as a cherished family dog.

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition.

Her adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee.

If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt.
