Dachshund Dogs Available for Adoption

Beans is a petite little girl, weighing around 10 pounds, and is somewhere between 3 and 4 years old. She’s incredibly sweet and affectionate, loves giving kisses, and would be happiest curled up in your lap or following you from room to room.

Beans isn’t used to children, so an adult-only home would be the best fit for her. She’ll be fully vetted and spayed while in our care. She came to us with Lilo (listed separately) after their owner sadly passed away. She was clearly loved and is now looking for a calm, caring home where she can feel safe and cherished again.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. You must begin our adoption process by applying to adopt on clawsadopt.org. Please do NOT inquire via Petfinder, social media messengers or in our comments. We will only be looking at applications!

2. Please make sure you fill out our adoption application COMPLETELY. We may not be able to respond to applications that are not completely filled out with the proper information. Side note: on our applications, the more details you provide = the better.

3. We prefer applicants live within 60 miles of Closter, NJ. (Applicants who live farther away may still apply. However, please note we do prioritize local applications as we try our best to serve our local community first.)

4. Please respect our organization, our volunteers and our process. As a reminder, our organization is a nonprofit. We receive no money from the state. We have no paid employees! This is a polite reminder that we are doing our best to make the right decisions for the animals in our care. Thank you.
