This lovable boy has a calm, low-energy personality and is happiest lounging on the couch or snuggling up in bed with his human. He enjoys short walks and outdoor time, but he's just as content relaxing indoors, especially when the weather is cold. Churro is very much a "homebody" type who thrives in a cozy environment with lots of companionship.
Churro has done wonderfully with the senior dachshund in his foster home. After a short adjustment period, they began playing together and now enjoy roughhousing before settling down side-by-side on the couch. While he enjoys a dog friend, he doesn't necessarily need one and would be equally happy soaking up attention as the center of his person's world.
He's currently working on house training and walks nicely on leash, takes treats gently, and happily accepts pets and cuddles. At night, he sleeps soundly in the human bed and loves waking up close to his person.
Churro can be a bit alert to hallway or door noises and may bark when someone knocks, but he responds well to guidance. Overall, he's a mellow, loving companion who brings warmth and joy wherever he goes.
